Grinding

By adding a custom grind to your club, our Club Techs can alter the shape of the club to improve playability. The benefits of a custom grind include the following:

• Softening the leading edge of the club helps prevent digging into the ground and creating fat shots.
• Adding bounce to the sole to improve performance from the rough or sand lies.
• Reduction of bounce to the sole can help eliminate skulled or thin shots from tight lies.
• Heel grinding increases versatility by decreasing turf drag when opening the club face for a "flop" shot.
• Toe grind can increase versatility by decreasing toe drag when in the rough.
• Trailing edge grind can enhance versatility and raise the center of gravity for better distance control when making a full swing.

Typically this service is only done to wedges and putters and may not be available for all clubs. Feel free to contact us to see if a custom grind would be available for your club(s).
